Team L&M
The workshop at CRPF School, Prashant Vihar on the topic – Adverse Effects Of Social Media – evinced loads of interest among students. Apart from regularly answering question posed by the resource person, Ashwani Kumar Sharma, they also came up with several intelligent queries on the subject.
The students were informed by the resource person that spending long hours on social networking sites can adversely effect their mood, they can have poor mental health including symptoms of depression and anxiety and that the recommended time to spend on social networks should not exceed 30 minutes. They were also told about how cyberbullies could leave them in a situation and that the right age to sign in on any social networking site is at least 18 years.
The workshop was organised by 6to16, the education wing of Life & More, in association with HT Pace.
