Brazilian theatre production Passado Presente Zenturo will make its international debut in 2026 at two major festivals — the 25th Bharat Rang Mahotsav in India and the 5th GITIS FEST in Russia.

Inspired by Marcha para Zenturo by Grace Passô and Anton Chekhov’s Three Sisters, the play blends Brazilian and global theatre traditions while exploring time, memory, and shared experiences.

The production highlights the strength of Brazilian student theatre on the international stage.

As part of the Bharat Rang Mahotsav, organised by the National School of Drama under India’s Ministry of Culture, the play will be staged in Bengaluru on February 5, 2026, and New Delhi on February 7, 2026.

5th GITIS FEST in Moscow

The play will also represent Brazil at the GITIS FEST in Moscow in April 2026, expanding its global cultural reach.

The production gained acclaim in Brazil after a nationwide 2024 tour and a 2025 season at TUSP Theatre. Critics praised the production for its ensemble performances, innovative staging, and fresh interpretation of classic and modern works.

Directed by André Haidamus, the play features ten actors. The creative team includes Camila Andrade (lighting) and Cássio Gondim (sound and video).

With performances in India and Russia, Passado Presente Zenturo marks a major step for Brazilian theatre and international collaboration.
