Shlok Arvind, a Class 2 student of Billabong High International School (BHIS), Malad, has entered the India Book of Records for his tremendous knowledge in the field of Mapology and Geography.

The seven-year-old received the honour in lieu of recognising national flags of 95 countries within a short span of one minute, besides naming their capitals. Shlok also successfully answered questions related to the subject with great accuracy.

Shlok developed an interest in Mapology when he was just three-and-a-half. His knowledge in the subject matter is extensive. There is no country, place, landscape, mountains, sea, oceans, or river that the young child cannot identify on the map

Delighted over Shlok’s achievement, Dr Madhu Singh, Principal of BHIS Malad, said, “Shlok’s achievement is a proud moment for all of us. He has a strong inclination towards Mapology. We realised this and our teachers engaged him in gaining more proficiency in subject matter.”
