One of the biggest literary events in the world, the New Delhi World Book Fair has gone live from today. With the ongoing pandemic rendering a physical event impossible, the organisers, National Book Trust (NBT) have risen to the challenge and found a solution to keep the event alive by going digital.
The four-day first virtual New Delhi World Book Fair is the latest example in a long list of industries and businesses that are adapting to the new normal as the world continues to deal with the ongoing pandemic. The event is being hosted on a 2D platform with a complete 360-degree experience that helps in browsing and buying books, e-visiting stalls, e-meeting exhibitors, and attending other regular NDWBF literary events, activities for children, Theme Pavilion, and much more.
The annual affair was inaugurated by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ who appreciated that National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020), the theme of New Delhi World Book Fair 2021. Speaking on NEP 2020, the Minister said that it has emerged as world’s biggest reform, which will develop India not only as the knowledge hub but will also help in making learners ideal and global citizens.
