Abhishek Biswas on International Vegetarian Day: Health, Sattvik Food & Lifestyle
Team L&M
Abhishek Biswas has emerged as a key figure in the global food certification landscape, steadily expanding his entrepreneurial footprint across Asia. In 2022, he established the first international branch of Sattvik Certifications in Singapore under the name “Sattvik Certifications Singapore Pte Ltd.”
Building on this momentum, he entered the Indonesian market in 2023 with “PT Sattvik Certifications Indonesia.” To streamline and strengthen his growing ventures, he further launched “Sattvik Holding Singapore Pte Ltd.,” which now serves as the central hub overseeing his regional operations from Singapore.
Driven by a vision to transform the global food ecosystem, Biswas introduced the world’s first vegetarian food certification program through the Sattvik India Council. This initiative was created to address food safety concerns in India, one of the largest producers and consumers of food products.
Rooted in the principles of vegetarianism and inspired by ancient Vedic traditions, the Council combines traditional values with modern scientific standards to ensure safe, high-quality food for consumers. It also collaborates with the Government of India and international bodies to promote stringent food safety regulations.
Beyond building institutions, Abhishek Biswas has played a significant role in raising awareness about the vegetarian food segment, which has historically received less attention compared to the non-vegetarian sector.
Through research papers, seminars, and advocacy efforts, he has actively contributed to setting benchmarks for food safety and quality. His initiatives continue to shape a more conscious and regulated approach to vegetarian food consumption, both in India and globally.
