The Empire State Building shines in its signature white lights on nights when a lighting for an organisation or holiday is not scheduled. Beginning March 30, and through the COVID-19 battle, these signature white lights will be replaced nightly with theย Heartbeat of America in bright redย with aย siren of red and whiteย in the mast to pay respect to the heroic emergency workers on the front line of the fight.
โ€œThe Empire State Building is an international symbol of dreams and struggles overcome,โ€ said Anthony E Malkin, Chairman and CEO of building owner Empire State Realty Trust. โ€œTonight, and every night in this struggle, she is a beacon to remind us we are all in this together, and we will come out of this together.โ€
The Empire State Buildingโ€™s world-famous tower lights, in partnership with iHeartMediaโ€™s Z100, will continue to sync to a broadcast Alicia Keysโ€™ย Empire State of Mindย on every night at 9 pm.
