Indie Haat 2026 to Showcase India’s Rich Handloom and Handicraft Heritage
Team L&M
India’s rich legacy of handloom and handicrafts will take centre stage as Union Minister of Textiles Shri Giriraj Singh inaugurates Indie Haat 2026 on July 13, 2026, at the National Crafts Museum & Hastkala Academy, New Delhi.
The 10-day exhibition, running from July 10 to July 19, 2026, has been conceived as a vibrant celebration of India’s traditional crafts and handwoven textiles. It is being organised alongside Bharat Tex 2026, India’s largest global textile event, scheduled from July 14 to July 17, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Celebrating India’s Craft Heritage
Curated exclusively for Bharat Tex 2026, Indie Haat aims to introduce India’s extraordinary handloom and handicraft traditions to an international audience while supporting the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Vocal for Local initiatives.
The event has been organised jointly by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) and the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), with curation by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The exhibition combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary presentation, creating an engaging experience for both domestic and international visitors.
