The Ramayana is one of India’s most enduring epics, but its appeal lies not just in its familiar narrative. The relationships, choices, sacrifices and lesser-explored episodes behind the story offer countless possibilities for interpretation. Bringing these dimensions to the stage is RAM – The Musical Saga, a grand Broadway-inspired theatrical production by Felicity Theatre.
Directed by theatre stalwart Rahull R. Bhuchar, the musical seeks to take audiences beyond the familiar retelling of the Ramayana and explore the emotions and events that shaped Lord Ram’s journey and his enduring legacy.
Following its celebrated mythological productions, including Mahabharat and Humare Ram, Felicity Theatre will premiere RAM – The Musical Saga on November 13, 2026, at Kamani Auditorium, New Delhi. Six shows are scheduled between November 13 and 15.
A stellar cast brings the epic to life
The production features an ensemble of leading television and film actors. Sujay Reu plays Lord Shree Ram, marking his stage debut in the role. Arav Chowdharry takes on the dual roles of Lord Parshuram and Ravan, while Nirbhay Wadhwa portrays Lord Hanuman. The cast also includes Raviz Thakur as Lord Shiva, Zuber Ali as Bali, Shreevarna Rawat as Sita and Simran Malhotra as Parvati.

Each character brings a different dimension to the epic, with the production placing particular emphasis on the emotional and spiritual journeys behind their actions.
Sujay Reu, widely recognised for his television portrayal of Lord Ram, explores the qualities that define Maryada Purushottam – compassion, restraint, love and an unwavering commitment to dharma.
Arav Chowdharry as Ravan
Arav Chowdharry brings two contrasting characters to the stage. As Lord Parshuram, he portrays the dramatic confrontation with a young Ram during Sita Swayamvar, an encounter charged with tension and destiny. As Ravan, he takes on the formidable king of Lanka, presenting a character whose complexity has remained central to interpretations of the Ramayana.
Nirbhay Wadhwa, known for his portrayal of Hanuman on television, brings the strength, devotion and complete surrender of Ram’s greatest devotee to the production.

Legendary voices give the Ram Katha a musical dimension
Music is central to RAM – The Musical Saga. The production brings together celebrated singers, including Sonu Nigam, Shankar Mahadevan, Hariharan, Kailash Kher, Shaan, Manoj Tiwari and Surabhi Tiwari, among others.
Their voices accompany the story through its many emotional transitions, from love and devotion to valour, separation, sacrifice and destiny.
Unlike productions where music merely complements the dramatic action, this musical uses its compositions as an integral part of the storytelling. The score helps convey the emotional intensity of the epic while connecting its timeless themes with contemporary theatrical presentation.
The production also promises an elaborate visual experience, featuring immersive stagecraft, dynamic choreography, grand musical sequences and more than 100 dancers. From the splendour of Ayodhya to divine realms and epic confrontations, the staging aims to recreate the scale and atmosphere of the Ramayana.
