Apollo Hospitals has launched Apollo Health Check on Wheels to take preventive healthcare right up to your doorstep. The mobile healthcare platform is designed to deliver comprehensive health checks directly to workplaces, gated communities, associations and more.

The AHC on Wheels bus is equipped with advanced technology and staffed by well-trained healthcare professionals to conduct a wide range of health tests. Services offered include blood and urine tests, mammograms, ECG, Echo, cardiac stress testing, X-ray, ultrasound, colposcopy, eye and ear exams, and physician consultations.

Already introduced in Aroghya Soudha, Bangalore, the initiative’s primary goal is to identify, treat, and prevent non-communicable diseases in the best way possible for the general population. It also aims to reach out to the public for early detection, treatment, and prevention at their convenience.

India has been grappling with the formidable challenge of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, and obesity for the past two decades. According to Apollo’s Health of the Nation 2024 report, these conditions are on the rise with alarming statistics: 2 out of 3 people are pre-hypertensive, 1 out of 3 are pre-diabetic, and 1 in 10 have uncontrolled diabetes. Additionally, 3 out of 4 people are overweight or obese. Regular and timely health checks are essential in preventing and managing these conditions.

Says State Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Karnataka Dinesh Gundu Rao, “This is a transformative initiative by Apollo Hospitals, which brings preventive healthcare directly to the doorsteps of people. It epitomises accessibility and convenience, aligning perfectly with our government’s vision for inclusive healthcare. By targeting non-communicable diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension, this initiative embodies our commitment to tackling major health challenges head-on. The comprehensive services offered, coupled with advanced technology and expert healthcare professionals, ensure timely detection and treatment, empowering individuals to take charge of their health. I commend Apollo Hospitals for their dedication to public health and for partnering with us in this crucial endeavor. Together, we will make significant strides in promoting health and wellness across our state and beyond.”

Proactively addressing these health issues, Apollo Hospitals is proud to introduce Apollo Health Check on Wheels 2.0. “The purpose of Apollo Health Check on Wheels is to ensure that health and wellness are prioritized without disrupting daily productivity or routines, bringing top-notch medical care right to your doorstep. Investing in your health has never been this convenient,” says Dr. Manish Mattoo – Chief Executive Officer Karnataka & Central Region, Apollo Hospitals.
