When did you start working on this collection? How much time did you take to complete it? How many total styles are there are how many total pieces
In September 2023 we started our work of crafting our exquisite Darpan collection. Inspired by the tranquil allure of soft hues and pristine whites, our vision was to encapsulate a sense of serenity and sophistication in every garment. Over the course of six to seven months we poured our hearts and souls into passionately crafting this collection ensuring that each detail was imbued with grace. Darpan has a total of seven distinct styles that epitomise timeless beauty and refinement. Within this collection we have meticulously handcrafted an exclusive selection of 10 to 15 pieces, each exuding unparalleled artistry.

Is there a specific reason you went in for all-white?
This collection is a mindful fusion of ethereal whites, soft pallets and delicate hues, each carefully chosen to evoke the mesmerizing beauty of the Sheesh Mahal in Jaipur. Drawing inspiration from this architectural marvel, our garments feature intricate mirror work reminiscent of the dazzling reflections found within the palace walls. With a seamless blend of tradition and modernity, our designs effortlessly transition from day to night, offering versatility and effortless appeal. The minimal yet impactful aesthetic of our garments speaks to the discerning tastes of those who appreciate understated history, art and contemporary fashion. The fabrics that are eco-conscious, stand the test of time, and flowy fabrics that can be worn today and in years to come as well. Incorporating the purity and grace associated with the color white, our collection exudes an aura of serenity, artisanal touch and feel. Symbolising elegance and purity of the Sheesh Mahal in Jaipur. The color white evokes a sense of calmness and sophistication, making it a timeless addition to any wardrobe.

What do you consider so fascinating in Jaipur’s Sheesh Mahal that you dedicated a whole collection it
For us, the Sheesh Mahal is more than just a physical structure; it represents a journey into a world of elegance, history, and refinement. The delicate interplay of light and reflection within its walls evokes a sense of wonder and awe, igniting our imagination and inspiring us to translate its allure into wearable art.
As a child, my family vacations to Jaipur were filled with wonder and excitement. My visit to the Sheesh Mahal Palace left an emotional imprint on my heart, igniting a deep sense of admiration for the craftsmanship of yesteryears. I felt the intricate beauty crafted by hand, and that awe-inspiring memory has stayed with me ever since. It was only natural that I drew inspiration from my most cherished childhood experience to create a collection that pays tribute to the beauty of Jaipur’s architectural marvels.
The timeless magnificence of Jaipur’s Sheesh Mahal transcends mere aesthetics. The Sheesh Mahal, or the Palace of Mirrors, epitomises an exquisite blend of artistry, history, and cultural heritage in Rajasthan. Its mesmerising beauty, characterised by intricate mirror work and breath-taking architecture, serves as a timeless symbol of grandeur. Through our Darpan S/S’24 clothing collection, we aim to pay tribute to the rich heritage and unparalleled craftsmanship of the Sheesh Mahal. Each garment is meticulously crafted to capture the essence of its beauty, mirrors symbolising stars at night, therefore incorporating elements of mirror work and intricate detailing reminiscent of the palace’s ornate interiors.

Which age group is Darpan targeted at?
It is designed to appeal to a wide range, from young girls to women who share a passion for fashion, the rich cultural heritage of India, and contemporary fashion. It transcends age barriers offering designs that are classic and statement-making.
