A workshop on Stress Management was held at St Mary School Dhampur, Uttar Pradesh. Organised by Marina Publications Pvt Ltd, it was taken by Resource Person Ashwani Kumar Sharma.
Sharma began the session by defining what stress actually is and how it poses threat to one’s peace of mind. A little stress is good as it helps one to excel in life but as it crosses its boundaries it can take unimagined proportions.

“If one doesn’t take stress healthily, it can become a chronic condition which is not good for any individual, especially teachers as they have to mentor the youth,” he said. “Stress can come from work, relationships, financial pressures, and other situations – anything that poses a real or perceived challenge or threat to a person’s well-being,” he added.
Stating that each one of us must introspect on regular basis to deal with life situations so as to keep stress at bay. One must also take time for self and indulge in activities like meditation, yoga, social interaction. “One must also pursue hobbies as these are great stress-busters” he said.
Sharma also organised an “guessing activity” for teachers, which was much enjoyed by one and all.
