LifeMeet – Anurag Anand, Artist & Author

 

A corporate professional by profession, Anurag Anand is an artist and an author by passion. “You don’t have to make time for doing something you love,” he says, when asked how he finds time amid his busy work life to create art of write stories. In this freewheeling interview with Life & More, he talks about his life and everything around it.

An exhibition of his works, Soulful Sojourn- A kaleidoscopic journey through the heart & mind, begins today at All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS)- Rafi Marg, New Delhi. Divided into three  different series – Building Blocks, Code Un-code and Nature Milange, the works are captivating, to say the least.

Building Blocks, the first series, is a collection of landscapes depicting varied topographies and geographical features. From Indian cities to international destinations, and from urban centres to rural backdrops, the artworks transport onlookers to a place they have once seen,  a place which is in their memory.

Code Un-code talks about human connections and their underlying emotions. The artist uses vibrant colours and bold images to tell human stories with each artwork. From the need to find joy in the little things that surround us, to a very contextual take on the impact of technology on our lives, these artworks are unique in their choice of subject as well as treatment.

Nature Milange, the third series, is a quirky take on one of the most harmless and aesthetic offerings of nature – flowers.

Soulful Sojourn will be on display from 13 to 19 October 2023 at Gallery-A, All India Fine Arts & Crafts Society (AIFACS)- Rafi Marg, New Delhi
