Beginning tomorrow, to celebrate unity in diversity as well as to maintain and strengthen the fabric of traditionally existing emotional bonds between the people of our country, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is organising a mega cultural and literary youth extravaganza — KVS Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat Parv at the India Gate Lawn No. 6 in New Delhi.
The four-day long mega event, to be inaugurated by HRD minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, is expected to witness more than 2,300 participants from 25 regions of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. The main objective of the event is to showcase the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat and also to promote the cultural and literary skills of students through various competitions. Further, it also provides a platform for teachers to express their talent in performing and visual arts. This year, four contemporary theme-based exhibits have been incorporated — Fit India, Samagra Shiksha & Jal Suraksha, Ban on single-use plastic, Swacch Bharat.
To add flavour of Indian culture and tradition, participants from all 25 regions would be paired to represent another state different than their own. The concept behind this is to celebrate the idea of India as a nation wherein different cultural units across varied geographies coalesce and interact with each other, this glorious manifestation of diverse cuisine, music, dance, theatre, movies & films, handicrafts, sports, literature, festivals, painting and sculpture will enable people to imbibe the innate chord of binding and brotherhood.
