It was grooming day for over 35 stray dogs at Dhyan Foundation’s Shelter for Strays. Together with Flying Fur, a dog grooming company and Nestle, the dogs were thoroughly pampered by Dhyan Foundation volunteers, owners of Flying Fur and other dog lovers gathered at the shelter to partake in the activities.

Shelter for Strays,  provides home to sick, injured, abandoned, orphaned and rescued dogs where they are cared for and attended to. “It is the dharma of man to provide for those that are weak and so everyday volunteers visit to personally oversee feeding and medicine over and above the staff and vets that stay there round the clock,” says Yogi Ashwini, the guiding light of Dhyan Foundation.

The grooming session included nail-filing, fur-trimming, ear-cleaning, tick-treatment and relaxing in a tub. Flying Fur Mobile Pet Grooming is a full service-grooming salon that comes right to your door with services for both large and small breeds. All services are performed inside their state-of-the-art mobile grooming salon. After the much-needed TLC (tender, love and care), the pretty pooches were given Purina Nestle Dog Food.

Dhyan Foundation under the guidance of Yogi Ashwini is running nearly 30 shelters and gaushalas all over the country to provide for rescued dogs, cattle, camels, mules, horses and more. They also run 24×7 ambulance services in four cities and maintain hundreds of feeding points for stray dogs and birds and tens of feeding points for monkeys among others.
