With a record-breaking total of 7,500 registrations, this event stands as India’s third-largest half- marathon and is considered to be one of the toughest in the country. The theme for this year’s marathon is Sarve Dhavakaha Kutumbakam or All Runners Are One Family. This theme aims to foster a sense of unity among athletes emphasising on a collective pursuit of wellness. The event is proudly presented by the Jai Balaji Group as the title sponsor, powered by Skechers.

The upcoming marathon will feature an Out & Back course that kicks off from the Satara Police Parade Ground. The event is scheduled from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. The event has received 7500+ participation from all across the country. The event rewards participants with various accolades based on their finish times, adding an element of achievement to the endeavour.

Talking about it, Dr Sandeep Kate, Founder of Satara Runners Foundation, expressed his enthusiasm: “The Sarve Dhavakaha Kutumbakam theme holds a special place in our hearts. We believe in fostering a sense of camaraderie among runners, regardless of their background or experience. This marathon goes beyond the physical challenge; as it’s about unity and the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle that brings diverse communities together with a single aim of running for a better tomorrow. Our Foundation has seen tremendous and astounding success over the years and the endeavour is to inspire and empower people to embrace running as a way of life, and to create a culture where running is accessible, inclusive, and celebrated.”

Gaurav Jajodia, Director of Jai Balaji Group, the title sponsor, highlighted the importance of such events in promoting a healthy lifestyle and community engagement. “We are proud to be associated with SHHM, an event that not only promotes fitness but also stands for the spirit of togetherness. Our support extends beyond the finish line, as we believe in the mission and vision of the Satara Runner’s Foundation and we are glad to be sponsoring the event this year,” he remarked.

The funds raised through SHHM are channelled towards enhancing the participant experience, including a 16-week training program and event memorabilia. Moreover, the event contributes to the community by establishing open gyms and street workout stations in Satara, fostering a culture of fitness and well-being.
