 Postal stamp released to celebrate first anniversary of AIIA Goa

On the first anniversary of All India Institute of Ayurveda-Goa, Union Ayush Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today released a postal stamp. Other present on the occasion were Minister of State Ministry of Ayush & Ministry of Women and Child Development Munjapara Mahendrabhai, and Secretary, Ministry of Ayush Rajesh Kotecha.

The event, jointly organised by the All India Institute of Ayurveda and India Post, took place at the Transport Bhawan in New Delhi. Other distinguished guests were AIIA Director Prof (Dr) Tanuja Manoj Nesari, Indian Post DG Smita Kumar and Andrew Yule CMD RS Manku, AIIA Goa Dean Prof (Dr) Sujata Kadam. The satellite center of AIIA in Goa was dedicated to the nation by Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year.

“I want to congratulate All India Institute of Ayurveda team as today to mark the first foundation day of the All India Institute of Ayurveda-Goa we are releasing a commemorative postal stamp. Today we are more confident. We are aiming to become top three countries by 2047 under the guidance of PM Narendra Modi and we will become self-reliant country. We are doing our best to become a developed country. We are determined to become best with best practices. Quality is determined for the better holistic health care system and AIIA is doing is also doing good.  Through the postal stamp, AIIA has archived heights globally,” said Sonowal.

“The AllA Goa has recently completed one year and has earned its name in the field of Ayurveda globally. I am happy to announce that All India Institute of Ayurveda is signing an MOU with Andrew Yule & Company Limited (AYCL). Andrew Yule & Co. The signing of MOU marks the beginning of a collaborative effort to further our understanding of the holistic benefits that tea can offer,” said Munjapara.

The AIIA Goa, spanning a vast 50-acre campus, is meticulously modeled after its counterpart in Delhi. Its mission is to provide advanced preventive, diagnostic, and tertiary healthcare facilities. The centre is committed to fostering New-age Ayurveda among the younger generation, with the assurance from the Union Ayush Minister that the future of Ayurveda is secure in the hands of young scholars.

“The Ministry of Ayush is progressing in all directions under the guidance of PM Narendra Modiji, who also spoke about it in his Mann Ki Baat,” said Kotecha.

Emphasising the rich biodiversity and abundance of medicinal plants indigenous to the area, the AIIA satellite center in Goa is poised to make a substantial contribution to the practice of Ayurveda. Situated in an international tourist destination, the centre is expected to play a pivotal role in boosting medical tourism in the country.

“The releasing of commemorative postal stamp of AIIA Goa is a proud moment for us. The step taken will give global recognition to Ayurveda. AIIA would help AYCL for modification in composition of various teas to Enhance health benefits. This will help to establish wellness range of teas in health and wellness centers. The collaboration will help in building the entrepreneurship and boost startup ecosystem,” said Prof (Dr) Tanuja Nesari, Director AIIA.
