Team L&M

Leading textile brand rooted in Indian tradition, Archana Jaju, has launched its Spring-Summer collection. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant colours and breath-taking beauty of the Tulip Festival of Kashmir, this collection is a celebration of nature, tradition, and timeless elegance.

Designed with destination weddings in mind, each piece is crafted to be versatile, allowing the wearer to style it differently for various occasions. The collection seamlessly blends classic styles with contemporary sensibilities, offering something unique for every discerning fashion enthusiast.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the collection features hand-painted Kalamkari, intricate thread knot work, and exquisite zari cutwork. Each garment boasts intricate floral hand-painted designs, adding a touch of whimsy and romance. Silhouettes take centre stage in this collection, with the introduction of petal skirts for the very first time. In addition to petal skirts, the collection includes a stunning array of lehengas, saris, and kurta sets, each showcasing the brand’s commitment to impeccable craftsmanship and timeless elegance.

A hallmark of the collection is its vibrant colour palette, achieved through the use of natural dyes and hand embroidery. Hand-woven lightweight silk organza and elegant Kanchi silk serve as the canvas for this masterpiece. Shades ranging from rich mustard to rosy pink, the earthy tones evoke a sense of timeless sophistication and grace befitting any occasion.

I aim to make Kalamkari wearable across different age groups and to do so this time we have tried to experiment with the placements of different motifs that we use. Instead of doing complete hand-painted looks, we have done minimal hand-painted designs paired with solids to appeal to younger audiences. With this collection, we aim to celebrate the essence of Indian craftsmanship while offering modern, versatile designs for today’s global consumer,” says Archana Jaju, Creative Director of the brand.
