With the aim to spread positivity as negativity and fear engulfed one and all due to the spread of Coronavirus, Himanshu Art Institute organised an online art competition — Creativity With Positivity on Instagram. The creative works, as per competition rules, sent by the participants were published for seven days on the Instagram profile page of Himanshu Art Institute and Painting Ki Pathshala. In this online competition, hundreds of participants from the length and breadth of the country took part with great enthusiasm.

 

 

 

Amateur artists, students, teachers, art lovers and professional artists of all ages participated in this online competition which was divided into two groups — 5 to 17 years and 18 years and above. Most participants, through drawing, painting, craft, sculptures, photography and digital medium tried to convey a positive message to society through their creativity. The winners were selected by the selection committee comprising artists Rajesh Kumar and Sumer Singh.

 

In both groups, the winners were given a first prize of Rs 3,000, second prize of Rs 2,000 and third prize of Rs 1,000. In addition, certificates were given to all participants. In the first group, Tanisha Gupta of Uttar Pradesh won the first prize while Delhi’s Bhoomika got the second prize and third prize was given to Jasreen Manocha of Delhi. In the second group, the first prize was won by Prakshi Sharma from Delhi, second prize was won by Haryana’s Jyoti Gupta while the third position was won by Kavya Goyal from Uttar Pradesh.
