Cryptoart India Collective (CIC), a group of over 50 artists, is presenting India’s first dedicated NFT (non-fungible token) Art Exhibition DAZE at Lokayata Art Gallery, Hauz Khas, New Delhi.

The two-day exhibition, being held today and tomorrow, is showcasing prominent and curated Indian NFT talent to traditional artists and world at large.

In addition to NFT art, the exhibition will also host several workshops and panels. These activities will touch up on various aspects of NFTs and navigation of the web 3.0 rabbit hole throughout the two days of the exhibit. The exhibition will also be streamed online and in a metaverse gallery for those wanting to visit virtually.

Sponsored by NFT artists Jatin Pathi, Fabin Rasheed, Melvin Thambi along with NFT Kochi, Fandefi, NEAR NFT Club, Polygon Studios and Omniflix Network, the exhibition is partnered by Museum of Crypto Art, $Whale Community, Makersplace & NFT Malayali. It is curated by eminent NFT artists and dignitaries, including Cyber Shakti, Amrit Pal Singh, Indrani Mitra, Mehak Jain, A Nadamel, Jatin Pathi, Prasad Bhat, Melvin Thambi Shivani Mitra and Barthazian.

Speaking on the occasion, Jatin Pathi, co-founder CIC, Meebits DAO & Producer of DAZE said, “In the last couple of years, the demand for NFTs has grown significantly and many artists across the world are utilising the power of technology to showcase their passion. We are extremely proud and thrilled to showcase India’s finest digital artists from various genres and platforms at DAZE. This is just the beginning, and we look forward to expanding this initiative with future collaborations that will support the Indian art community”.

The exhibition is the first to present the concept of NFTs as both an emerging artistic medium as well as a revolutionary vehicle for commerce within the art and digital asset market.

Vishesh Chopra, co-producer, designer & entrepreneur added, “There’s a lot of misinformation with regards to cryptocurrencies and their use cases, even now after all these years. I’ve been trying to change that by organising meet-ups and working with the Indian crypto community on various fronts since 2016. I believe crypto art is a historic movement worth documenting and celebrating, and organizing DAZE is a step in that direction.”

Priyanka Balwa aka Cyber Shakti, co-producer, curator, NFT Marketer and an NFT artist herself said “NFTs have presented a plethora of opportunities to digital artists like me. With DAZE, we are not just showcasing NFT talent but also presenting valuable engagement for everyone in attendance. The idea really is to build a nexus of web3.0’s most enterprising cohorts & set the perfect stage for limitless possibilities”.

Fabin Rasheed, curator, NFT Marketer & NFT artist added, “Digital art, besides embracing the traditional media of hand-based painting and more, has resulted in highly innovative and meaningful creations which span media like Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Generative art and more. The possibility of creative expressions are increasingly becoming more pronounced and profound using such media.”
