WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY Workshops at Green Fields School

The education wing of Life & More, 6to16 organised two workshops on World Environment Day for the primary students of Green Fields School, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi. The workshop, organised in association with HT Pace, was undertaken by Resource Person Rajkumari Sharma Tankha.
During the first workshop, held on June 4, for students of classes 1, 2 and 3, the Resource Person spoke about the importance of celebrating the World Environment Day. Later, students were educated on how they can make liquid compost at their homes. Students were told to bring some citrus fruit peels, jaggery, water and bottle using which they made their own liquid compost.
The second workshop, held on June 5, for students of classes 4 & 5 was on the importance of waste segregation at source. Students were told about the different kinds of waste generated at homes, and how these have to be disposed of. The Resource Person spoke about ‘how to make compost using wet waste at home’.
In both the workshops, school students participated happily, and interacted with the Resource Person. They also pledged to take care of environment.
