Karmic account: If you can understand it, you will never ever complain in life

Rajkumari Sharma Tankha

Each one of us has travelled through many lifetimes and lived with many different souls amid family, friends, even our “enemies”. By enemies, I mean the people who we perceive to be harming us or those with whom we are not on the same page emotionally or psychologically  – that irritating relative or colleague who we do not get along, at all!

Souls always move in groups – through different life times, till we achieve karmic balance that is. Over scores of incarnations, each soul has accumulated a karmic account with other souls, and till these accounts are closed through the balance of karma, we will keep incarnating in the same group – the challenges often become tougher to deal if we fail to learn the lessons that are meant for us.

What we must understand here is that each person is essentially a soul, and is here to help us move forward spiritually and reduce our karmic baggage.

Sometimes, it so happens that the soul that loves us the most willingly takes birth as an enemy or a tormentor in one lifetime, just to help us work out our karma. Thus, looking from a spiritual angle, a person, who we think hates us and whom we hate in return, might actually be our greatest well-wisher. He/ she may be responsible for our becoming spiritual or compassionate. That very person who is creating hell in our lives may put us on the spiritual path. In the present lifetime, he/she may be doing so because that could be the only way to teach us a lesson.

Haven’t we often heard that person A turned to spiritualism when he was cheated by his sister whom he trusted completely, OR B took to the path of God after being ill-treated by her husband. It may sound strange, but it is a fact that sometimes an opportunity comes in the form of a disaster; sometimes, the only way to grow spiritually and in life is through pain, sorrow and turmoil.

Then, there are other souls who are born only to love us. These are the ones who will never leave our side, no matter what. You must have seen such people around you – the ones who will bear a tormenting relationship but never quit, or a father/mother who never stop loving their child even though the child has betrayed him/her in severest terms.

All of this depends on the pact we entered into at the soul level before taking birth on the Earth.

Each one of us is here on the earth school to learn lessons and to grow spiritually. Though considering a person who we perceive as an ‘enemy’ as a well-wisher may be a bit difficult to fathom, in actual sense, there is no enemy.

Everyone is a part of the Soul-Family who wants to help us and want help in return to grow and move up the higher realms. We all have travelled together in different lifetimes and have shared various relationships with each other such as father-mother, husband-wife, uncle-aunt, brother-sister, friends, neighbours, servants, drivers etc.

Hence never form judgments, abuse or hate anyone or say nasty things about those you don’t like. Who knows we may be harming the soul who loves us the most spiritually but are not able to recognise it as the soul is wearing a different body in this particular lifetime!

Why don’t you take a moment, sit back and marvel at your life – at the grief that softened you, at the heartache that made you wiser, at the suffering that strengthened you!
