The main objective of the event is to showcase the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat and also to promote the cultural  and literary skills of students through various competitions. Further, it also provides a platform for teachers to express their talent in performing and visual arts. This year, four contemporary theme-based exhibits have been incorporated — Fit India, Samagra Shiksha & Jal Suraksha, Ban on single-use plastic, Swacch Bharat.

To add flavour of Indian culture and tradition, participants from all 25 regions would be paired to represent another state different than their own.
