Re Sustainability begins Ganesh Chaturthi celebs with Re BIG Green Ganesha

Re Sustainability once again partners with 92.7 BIG FM to provide eco-friendly Ganeshas to celebrate the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Close to 15000 Ganesha idols made of eco-friendly materials are distributed across five cities every year. This is the 15^th edition of the award-winning Green Ganesha initiative.
The ganeshas will be handed out to various Gated Communities in Tier 1 cities, including Hyderabad, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai. These clay Ganesha idols are enclosed in a coconut pit containing seeds. The receivers can perform the #nimarjan at home, in a flower pot, giving birth to a new life, a new plant. The company has started a canter service – it will go around the town till August 31.
The annual program will accelerate engaging games on radio amplified through on-air and digital channels to sread awareness about environmental protection. #ReBIGGreenGanesha will do its part in replacing non-biodegradable options that create pollution and protect the water bodies.

Says 92.7 Big FM RJ Shekhar Basha, “We have been religiously conducting this Eco-friendly awareness program every year during Ganesh Festival since 15 years. To make people participate in this we collect old newspapers as Ganesh Donations which are then converted into pulp and then into a huge Ganesh idol. I am very glad to see that this year even Khairatabad Ganesh has gone eco-friendly.”
