Galaxy Scientific Nutrition Launches ‘MyFy’ Soluble Fiber Supplement for Better Metabolic Health
Team L&M
Mumbai-based Galaxy Scientific Nutrition Pvt. Ltd (GSN) has launched MyFy, a new soluble fiber dietary supplement designed to support metabolism and help prevent lifestyle-related health conditions such as diabetes and high cholesterol.
The venture is led by Ajay Nilawar, a well-known figure in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry. With the introduction of MyFy, the company aims to bring science-backed nutrition solutions to Indian consumers.
A Unique Blend of Natural Soluble Fiber
MyFy is formulated using a unique combination of long-chain and short-chain soluble fiber sourced from Japan and France. The supplement is manufactured in a US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) approved facility, ensuring high quality and safety standards.
The product is completely natural, clinically tested and easy to consume. It contains no additives, preservatives, taste, colour or odour, allowing it to blend easily into beverages or food preparations without altering their flavour.
Supporting Metabolic Health and Lifestyle Disease Prevention
The supplement is designed to help consumers optimise their metabolism while reducing the risk of lifestyle disorders such as:
-
Diabetes
-
High cholesterol
-
Metabolic health issues
One of the key advantages of MyFy is that it allows individuals to improve their daily fiber intake without making significant changes to their diet or lifestyle.
Creating a New Category in Nutritional Products
Speaking at the launch, Ajay Nilawar, Co-Founder and CEO of Galaxy Scientific Nutrition Pvt. Ltd, highlighted the company’s vision of integrating scientific research with everyday nutrition.
“We at Galaxy are bringing science to food, and MyFy is a result of that effort,” he said.
Nilawar explained that the company aims to introduce a new category in the healthcare market called Fast Moving Healthcare Goods (FMHG).
“With this unique soluble fiber blend, Galaxy has created FMHG as a new product category in India. Over the next two to three years, we will continue to expand our portfolio with more innovative solutions,” he added.
He also emphasised the company’s long-term focus on developing dietary supplements for metabolic and lifestyle-related disorders that currently lack effective preventive solutions.
Addressing the Fiber Deficiency in Modern Diets
Renowned nutritionist Dr Geeta Dharmatti, National Executive Member of the Indian Dietetic Association and a member of Galaxy’s advisory board, highlighted the growing concern of fiber deficiency in modern diets.
“What we eat influences our health. Unfortunately, today’s fast-paced lifestyle often leaves little time for a well-balanced, fiber-rich diet,” she said.
According to Dr Dharmatti, the recommended daily intake of fiber is 14 grams per 1,000 kilocalories. To meet this requirement, individuals should ideally consume:
-
300 grams of vegetables
-
100 grams of fruits
-
Whole grains and pulses
However, many people fail to meet this nutritional requirement through diet alone.
“In such cases, a supplement like MyFy can help bridge the gap in fiber intake,” she explained.
Growing Demand for Nutritional Supplements
With rising awareness about preventive healthcare and lifestyle diseases, the demand for nutraceuticals and dietary supplements is increasing in India.
Products like MyFy aim to provide convenient nutrition solutions that help consumers maintain metabolic health and improve overall wellbeing.
