CJI appreciates his portrait made by artist Apoorv Om

Apoorv Om presented the portrait of Chief Justice of India N V Ramana to him at the Supreme Court Bar Association of India (SCBA) function on the occasion of the Constitution Day at the premises of the Supreme Court, New Delhi yesterday.

“I am delighted to receive the copy of my portrait drawn by Apoorv Om with the majestic building of Supreme Court as backdrop. It is indeed a reflection of his exceptional creative skills,” remarked CJI

The artist is a shining example of what dedication and resolve can do. Despite being deaf and dumb, he didn’t let his disability come in the way of his pursuit. He is the recipient of the National Award for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities 2017 by the President of India as also the National Youth Award 2016-17 in 2019 ( given to a deaf person for the first time).
