World Red Cross Day is widely known to honour the founder of an International Red Cross Crescent Motion, Henry Dunant. Every year, the day celebrates the rules of the “International Red Cross and Red Crescent Motion”. The day focusses on the importance of shielding lives as also the dignity of victims of any armed conflicts and all conditions of violence.

Historical past
