RED FM’s Hidden Files Unlock to tackle and create awareness on cybercrime
93.5 RED FM has announced the launch of Hidden Files Unlock, a show to tackle cybercrime. The show will be hosted by cyber-expert Amit Dubey in an audiobook format which will have real life stories of cybercrime during the lockdown phase.
The COVID-19-induced lockdown saw a spurt in cybercrimes in India. This can be attributed to the increasing use of the internet when most people shifted to a work from home set up. This had opened the door for spyware and ransom ware which resulted into huge losses to people not only financially but also otherwise. These attacks aimed to compromise computers and mobile devices to gain access to users’ confidential data, banking details and cryptocurrency accounts. Dubey has been working towards solving these cases. Hidden Files Unlock will create awareness and will sensitise people to take adequate precautions while being on the internet and managing their devices.
“Cyberattacks are an evolving danger to organizations, employees and consumers. They may be designed to access or destroy sensitive data or extort money. They can, in effect, destroy businesses and damage your financial and personal lives — especially if you’re the victim of identity theft. Happy to bring back our show, Hidden Files with cyber expert, Amit Dubey who has personally worked on solving cases. We hope that the brand’s sustained efforts on public sensitization program and awareness campaigns pay off to a great extent,” shared Nisha Narayanan, Director & COO, RED FM and Magic FM.
Hidden Files Unlock will be aired on RED FM every Mon-Saturday, 8-9 pm.
