 Navi Mumbai all set to host Music, Art & Poetry festival

Navi Mumbai is all set to host its first and biggest Music, Art and Poetry (MAP) Festival. Being organised by Event Eyes Communications, the two-day festival will be held on July 22-23, at Terna Engineering College Auditorium and Campus, Nerul, Navi Mumbai.
The festival wil be inaugurated by NMMC, Navi Mumbai Mayor Sudhakar Sonawane. It will have workshops and discussions around topics like How music can benefit you, Whom to read and how to start writing, How to work with short movies, Art on social media etc.
The performances will include leading as well as young artists from the fields of music, art and poetry. The rising rage of open-mic poetry sessions and stand-up comedy will also have a preview. Besides this, the event will also have a table-top exhibition area that will comprise of paintings, handicrafts, books, apparel, stationary, art and fashion accessories etc. put on sale and display.
โ€œMusic, Art and Poetry are the best ways of expression and communication,โ€ says Neha V Jha, curator, MAP Festival. โ€œThe objective of MAP 2017 is to give its audience two days of escape from the hustle-bustle of the cityโ€™s life. People will get to listen to music they would have never heard, witness the form of art they could have never imagined and listen to poetry that might keep them thinking for days,โ€ she adds. โ€œwe plan to make it an annual event,โ€ she informs.
Some of the renowned guests, guide, speakers, trainers and performers associated with the event include singer and composer Anup Jalota, screenwriter Jyoti Kapoor, mural artist/sculptor and social worker Rouble Nagi, poet and film critic Manisha Lakhe, percussionist and didgeridoo player Kartik Sharma, model, actor and singer Sushant Divgikar, producer and director Mohinder Pratap Singh, writer Sudeep Pagedar, author Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai, stage performer Nupur Saraswat, and author Anjali Kirpalani.
The event is likely to have huge participation from the Navi Mumbai college students, corporates, Bollywood personalities, renowned as well as budding artists and music, art and poetry lovers.
