Two globally acclaimed books, Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature, and Ramayan in Human Physiology by Dr. Tony Nader (MD, PhD, MARR) have now been launched in India.
Human Physiology: Expression of Veda and Vedic Literature presents a scientific exploration of how the structure and function of the human body reflect the profound wisdom of Vedas and Vedic Literature. The Ramayan in Human Physiology deeply explores the correlation between the epic narrative of the Ramayana and biological processes within the human body.
The launched event today was graced by General (retd) GD Bakshi, who attended as the Chief Guest. Vaidya Devendra Triguna, Neurologist Dr Amitabh Varma and Ajay Prakash Shrivastava was amongst other dignitaries who graced the event. Dr. Nader, a Harvard-trained physician and neuroscientist who received his doctoral degree in brain and cognitive science at MIT, has spent decades researching the relationship between Vedic wisdom and modern science. In his books, he presents compelling evidence of how different structures of the human body correspond to the organization of Vedic texts. Notably, one of the book’s key revelations is how the ventral view of the human brain closely resembles the form of Lord Ganesha. In this and in many other examples, Dr. Nader draws fascinating parallels between Vedic structures and neurophysiology.
Similarly, Ramayan in Human Physiology examines how the characters and events of the Ramayana align with fundamental biological and physiological principles. The book suggests that the epic war between Ram and Ravan symbolizes the intricate regulatory mechanisms within the human system, reinforcing the notion that ancient scriptures encapsulate profound scientific insights.
Dr Nader says, “Under Maharishi’s guidance, I discovered a precise correlation between the Veda and human anatomy, confirming the sages’ insight: Vedoham—“I am the Veda.” This research reveals that Veda is the blueprint of the body (Sharir) and the universe (Vishwa). From DNA to organ systems, our physiology mirrors the Vedic Literature, demonstrating that intelligence underlies matter. The Transcendental Meditation technique, a Vedic technology of consciousness, offers profound physical, mental, and spiritual benefits. Extensive peer-reviewed research confirms improvements in health and higher states of consciousness. Notably, when practiced in large groups, it significantly reduces crime, accidents, and hospital admissions while enhancing social harmony and global peace. Modern science is now recognizing the immense potential of India’s Vedic Science to address global challenges. We are actively collaborating with Indian organizations to establish large groups of meditators for the benefit of humanity.”
The launch event witnessed participation from scientists, academicians, and scholars in Vedic studies, and fostered discussions on the intersection of consciousness, medicine, and ancient texts. Dr. Nader’s research has been widely acclaimed for offering a structured, evidence-based approach to understanding the scientific foundation of Vedic knowledge.
With the publication of these books, Dr. Nader seeks to contribute to the ongoing dialogue on integrating ancient wisdom with modern scientific paradigms, providing a fresh perspective on the profound connections among human physiology, consciousness, and Vedic traditions.
