In the recently-held Junior National Equestrian Championship, Noida’s Equestrian champ Rajveer Singh, 21, bagged the second position in individual Lance Tent Pegging, Second position in Individual Sword Tent Pegging, and Third position in the Individual Lemon and Peg. He also did remarkable well in the Ring and Peg.

The championship was held at Amateur Riders’ Club at Mahalakshmi Race Course in Mumbai under the aegis of the Equestrian Federation of India (EFI), the governing body of equestrian sports in India.

Singh entered the sport around 16 years of age motivated by his elder brother Karanveer Singh who was into horse riding. While for the elder brother it was just a sport, Rajveer decided to turn into a professional player. This is the reason as to why after completing his school, he decided to do his graduation from Open University so that he could devote ample time to his sport.
Serious about his sport, Singh is now working on starting a training centre for Tent Pegging and Polo in Noida. “The centre will come up in the vicinity of Mayoor School on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway,” he says.

Meanwhile, he also has a startup, equusspot, wherein he sells accessories for equestrian sports.
