The Test of Pride and the Path to Humility | Teachings of Maha Chohan

Jaspal Soni

“Beloved ones, you must understand that pride must be tested regularly. Only then will you know whether ego still lingers within. The true measure lies in your reaction—how you respond to remarks that feel disrespectful, challenging, or demeaning reveals whether personal pride and ego still hold power over you.

“—- Understand, beloved, the importance of gaining a right perspective—a co-measurement of the path of the Great White Brotherhood and the deeper meaning behind your reactions. Much of the unrest arises not from truth, but from discomfort when you feel mistreated. I counsel you on this, for ego and pride create distance from the Holy Spirit, and divine gifts cannot flow where pride remains.

“For consider this, beloved: if pride exists before spiritual attainment, how much greater might it become after receiving spiritual gifts? Many begin to believe they possess higher powers when they do not, and in that illusion, they elevate themselves above others. This is the subtle danger of spiritual ego, where one begins to look down upon others instead of walking the path of humility.

“I am grateful that such displays of human pride are less evident here than in many circles where individuals lack the practice of the violet flame, calls to Astrea, and the discipline of self-purification. Yet I tell you, beloved, pride remains the root of downfall. As the ancient truth declares, ‘pride goes before a fall.’ Reflect deeply—when you stumble, it is often pride that has caused you to lose balance.

“Thus, you are here, and we are here. My message is simple: let us make the most of this opportunity for spiritual growth and self-mastery. We walk this path together, and we offer you our very best.

“I ask you—will you give your very best?”
[Audience responds: “Yes!”]

“That is all we ask, beloved—to give your highest effort. In return, you will continually receive the blessings of our best. Nothing more is required, yet nothing less will suffice.

“So, beloved, I bow before you. I bow before the divine light within you. I look forward to intensifying that sacred fire as you come to understand what it truly means to walk the path among adepts—to live in a community guided by higher consciousness. Reflect upon the lives of initiates of past ages, their trials and discipline, and you will gain a deeper understanding of your own place on the spiritual path.

“I tell you, we hold profound respect for your being—from where you stand today to your origin in the Great Central Sun. Within you lies the full potential of Godhood. That portion of divinity you have claimed through self-mastery and inner work becomes the lodestone of your being—the anchor of your spiritual identity.

“—– I AM the Maha Chohan. We draw very near to you. Therefore, as I have said—make the most of it!”
