Understanding the True Self: Your I AM Presence, Higher Self, and Soul

The mystical heart of all the world’s spiritual traditions is the realization of the True Self. Understanding the Self is one of the most profound insights any individual can achieve. The Self begins with the permanent atom of being, the divine cause from which all effects proceed. This cause is known by many names: I AM Brahman, Ahm Brahmasmi, I AM Presence, OM TAT SAT OM, I AM THAT I AM, OM, or simply I AM.

The Charts of Your Individualized Divine Self

Your Real Self can be explored through the Charts of Your Individualized Divine Self, which illustrate cosmic truths discovered by mystics of both East and West. Each chart consists of three parts, forming a trinity of identity:

1. Your I AM Presence
2. Your Higher Self (Mediator)
3. You – The Evolving Soul (Jeev-atman)

Your I AM Presence

The upper figure in the chart represents your I AM Presence, a radiant sphere of light. Across traditions:

• Hinduism: Brahma
• Buddhism: Dharmakaya
• Sikhism: Waheguru
• Parsis: Ahura Mazda
• Christianity: God the Father

This is the individualized Spirit of God, always present in your being. Surrounding the I AM Presence are seven concentric spheres forming your causal body, which records all your spiritual deeds—a cosmic “bank account” of your good works.

Your Higher Self

Between your I AM Presence and your evolving soul lies the Higher Self, also known as the Higher Mental Body, Real Self, Krishna or Vishnu Consciousness, Guru Nanak Consciousness, Holy Christ Self, or Inner Man of the Heart.

The Higher Self acts as a mediator, translating the perfection of the I AM Presence to your mortal soul (Jeev-atman). You may also perceive the Higher Self as your:

• Chief guardian angel
• Inner guru
• Voice of conscience
• Positive mental attitude
• Dearest spiritual friend

You – The Living Potential of God

Your soul (Jeev-atman) evolves on the spiritual path through time and space. Though mortal, it carries the potential for immortality. Surrounding your soul in the charts is the violet flame, a high-frequency energy of forgiveness and spiritual alchemy, representing Shiva – the Holy Spirit.

Encasing the violet flame is the protective white light of God, also called the tube of light, which you can activate through the science of the spoken Word to protect your aura and chakras from negative energies.

The crystal cord (or silver cord) connects the I AM Presence to your soul, acting as a spiritual “umbilical cord” that ties you to higher consciousness.

The Purpose of Your Soul’s Evolution

The evolution of your Jeev-atman aims to:

• Achieve self-mastery
• Balance your karma
• Fulfill your life mission (dharma)
• Ascend in the Light (moksha)

The ultimate goal is to realize your True Self and return to your spiritual home, fully aligned with divine consciousness.
