Book Released
Doval also released a Coffee Table Book Ganga: The River of Sanatan Civilization edited by Neera Mishra on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, Doval shared his insights on the contribution of the river Ganga in Sanatan Sanskriti, culture and history. “India is a unique spiritual civilizational nation-state. A nation gets its identity not just from its tangible achievements, but the intangible undercurrent that runs through its people,” he said, adding that it is time we work towards making the world understand the deep spiritual content of River Ganga. Talkig a bout Sattvik food, he said, consuming Sattvik food is great but not enough. We must also bring Sattvik content to out thoughts, actions, feelings, emotions. Well, consuming Sattvik food is perhaps the first step towards it,” remarked Doval. He exhorted people to be proud of our culture and heritage and work towards its promotion in their own ways.
