Air OK lends helping hand to the underprivileged

In yet another step to fulfil its corporate social responsibility in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic and the on-going national lockdown, IIT Madras incubated clean tech start-up Air Ok Technologies has joined hands with two NGOs — Earth Saviours Foundation and One Good Deed — to distribute some essentials among those who are deprived of even the basic necessities during these trying times.
As part of the drive, Air Ok is donating essential items such as biscuits, dry grains, rice, wheat and spices among the underprivileged. Apart from these, sanitary pads are also being distributed among females who have been impacted due to the lockdown. This assumes significance as there are several people who have lost their source of income due to the on-going lockdown and have no means to afford even basic amenities.
This is not the first time when Air Ok has stretched out a helping hand during the on-going global crisis. At the onset of the novel virus outbreak, the start-up had donated as many as 25,000 masks for doctors and other medical professionals working at two of the biggest healthcare centres in the national capital region, Indraprastha Apollo Hospital at Jasola in New Delhi and Medanta โ The Medicity in Gurugram. While 10,000 masks were donated to Apollo Hospital, as many as 15,000 were given to Medanta.
