EdelGive Foundation and FICCI Collaborate to Boost Women Entrepreneurship in India
Team L&M
In a significant move to strengthen women entrepreneurship in India, EdelGive Foundation has partnered with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry to accelerate outreach initiatives and empower aspiring women entrepreneurs across the country.
Through this year-long collaboration, both organisations aim to support women in their entrepreneurial journeys by adopting a multi-stakeholder approach focused on capacity building, mentorship, and awareness.
The initiative will include mentorship programmes, school-level community sensitisation, and grassroots awareness campaigns. It also seeks to increase corporate support for women-led businesses while creating sector-wide ‘champions’ to advocate for the cause. The programme will have a special focus on the states of Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
As part of the initiative, workshops will be conducted to enhance learning, along with skill development and training opportunities for women entrepreneurs. The programme will also promote women-led enterprises through active engagement with state governments. Additionally, a digital education series will be rolled out via social media platforms to encourage innovative learning and wider outreach.

“There already exists a clear synergy between our work via the UdyamStree campaign and FICCI’s Greater 50 campaign. The purpose of this MoU is to create a strong system of cooperation. It leverages the expertise of both organisations to further empower women,” says Vidya Shah, Executive Chairperson, EdelGive Foundation.
Sangita Reddy, Immediate Past President of FICCI and Joint Managing Director at Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd, is also appreciative. “The Empowering Greater 50 per cent programme focuses on enhancing entrepreneurial and decision-making skills through mentorship and matchmaking. With similar goals, this collaboration with UdyamStree is expected to create meaningful impact.”
