To extend its services to conduct Covid-19 detection tests, Indus Health Plus has announced its collaboration with SRL Diagnostic (India) Pvt Ltd. The collaboration aims to focus on preventing and controlling the disease transmission through an extensive testing of Covid-19.
The sudden rise in the cases of Covid- 19 across different parts of the country has prompted Indus Health Plus extends this facility to Gurgaon, Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad and Goa. The company has collaborated with Suburban Diagnostics in its initial phase to conduct the tests in Mumbai and Pune. The scheduling of appointments and payments can both be done on Indus Health Plus website or over a call. The sample collection will be facilitated by SRL Diagnostics either via home collection or directly at the centre. Also, in Mumbai and Pune, both SRL Diagnostics and Suburban Diagnostics will be active for the facility.
As per the guidelines by the government, a legitimate prescription from a physician, and a photo ID card with address proof is mandatory and must be presented at the time of testing. Apart from this, the company also integrated a screening tool (chat bot) in their website that will help people with preliminary self-assessment or screening based on their symptoms.
The citizens can do a self-assessment test on the given link: https://www.indushealthplus.com/corona-self-screening.html. The virtual tool will help in reducing the panic or anxiety. The virtual assistant has pre-packaged and conversationally formatted question-and-answer screening content as per the guidelines for a preliminary test to analyse the symptoms and provide guidance for the steps ahead accordingly.
The private laboratories as per the government’s mandate can conduct real-time polymerase chain reaction (PCR) based test. Also, only a certified phlebotomist will collect the test samples directly from the patient’s home. The personnel will take necessary precautionary measures as per ICMR guidelines while taking the throat and nasal swabs for the test. The collected sample will be sent to these laboratories for COVID-19 detection testing. The report will be made available to the patients within 24-48 hours of the sample collection.
