 HCL Foundation signs MoUs with Noida district administration

Three Memorandums of Understanding were signed between HCL Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of HCL Technologies, and the district administration of Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida) pertaining to health, gender equity and self-efficacy and early childhood care and development.

HCL Foundation director Nidhi Pundir signed these MoUs with Gautam Budh Nagar chief medical officer Dr Anurag Bhargava; additional basic shiksha adhikari Arun Kumar; district inspector of schools Praveen Kumar Upadhayay and district project officer DK Singh in the presence of Noida MLA Pankaj Singh and GB Nagar DM Brijesh Narayan Singh.

Health The MoU was signed to strengthen public health facilities for improved maternal and child health indicators along with sexual and reproductive health services in Gautam Budh Nagar. HCL Foundation is implementing community-based health intervention in Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar under HCL Uday. The programme aims towards working with health system such as the primary health centres and community health centres to improve cliental outreach for uptake of services.

Gender equity and self-efficacy This MoU was signed under My Worth Programme, an initiative of HCL Foundation, to enhance gender equity and self-efficacy of students by applying structured curriculum to help them address concerns like school dropout, gender-based violence and meaningful engagement.  The initiative will have a public private partnership model wherein HCL Foundation will work with 40 schools in Noida with permissions from and in partnership with the District Administration Gautam Budh Nagar.

Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) This MoU was signed with the objective of strengthening and improving the quality of service delivery across 50 ICDS aanganwadi centres in Bisrakh block, Gautam Buddha Nagar. Through interventions across early, primary, secondary, adult, digital, sports and civic education, HCL Foundation fosters human resource development. The proposed engagement for the project is five  years (2018-2023).
