Celebrating Indian mothers and their delicious recipes
Team L&M
To recognise and reward Indian mothers and their delectable dishes, a social media initiative has been designed by culinary platform Culinary Culture in partnership with Ghost Kitchens for its ongoing #MeriMAAsterChef contest. The contest intends to highlight the sentiment of Maa Ke Haath Ka Khaana and participants have an opportunity to ‘Make their MAA famous’ and win cash prizes along the way.
The winner, runner up and second runner up will receive Rs 1,00,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively. Additionally, a lucky participant will have an opportunity to convert her passion of cooking into real business. This initiative will be backed by Ghost Kitchens as a part of its ‘Mompreneur’ initiative. Ghost Kitchens will select one Mompreneur from the participants and help her establish a F&B brand under any of the F&B segments (cloud kitchens, pop-ups or food retail). Ghost Kitchens will not only support her with growth capital but also help in the incubation of the brand by leveraging their existing cloud kitchens infrastructure and experience.
To take part in the contest, all a participant needs to do is shoot a one minute video of their mother preparing her signature dish and describe why the dish is special. Contestants will have to upload the video on their respective Instagram accounts by using #MeriMAAsterChef and tagging @culinarycultureco in the caption. Last date for participation is June 30, 2020.
A distinguished five-member jury comprising of India’s most celebrated culinary personalities — Vir Sanghvi, Chairman, Culinary Culture; Lisa Ray, Actress, Author and Activist; Vicky Ratnani, Celebrity Chef; Zorawar Kalra, Founder and MD, Massive Restaurants and Ritu Dalmia, Chef-Owner, Diva Group of Restaurants will judge the contest. The special award for the ‘Mompreneur’ will be judged by Karan Tanna, Founder CEO, Ghost Kitchens.
