Magic potion for hair

 Magic potion for hair

Saurabh Tankha

The one problem I had been facing after moving to Noida around four years back was with my hair. Despite trying out a number of shampoos, conditioners and serums as also using mineral water to wash my hair on the advice of old Noida residents, nothing worked. With each passing day, they seemed to be losing their shine and lustre. In fact, some disappeared due to my excessive worry too. I even consulted a couple of hair experts and used the products they advised but still no luck. While some told me it was due to the hard water in Noida, others blamed the harsh weather conditions and a sensitive scalp. Who knows whoโ€™s right and whoโ€™s wrong?

Just as I was about to resign to my fate, a ray of hope arrived from an unexpected quarter. An ex-colleague, now based in Gujarat, called up to inform he was in town and wanted to meet me before flying back. We met at a coffee shop in Connaught Place, keeping social distancing norms in mind. As soon as he saw me, Ritesh shrieked, โ€œYour hair! Whatโ€™s wrong with them?โ€

I narrated the story to him. Ritesh didnโ€™t waste a minute to pull out a shampoo from his bathing kit and handed it over to me. โ€œUse this and you will notice the change in a fortnight. I had similar problem when I shifted to Gandhinagar. A local advised, and I began using this and look at my shiny hair now,โ€ he said. I inquisitively looked at the โ€œmagic potionโ€ which read: Duh Lush Nutrient Dense Shampoo; manufactured by Gujarat-based Herb Elementz Natureceuticals Pvt Ltd and marketed by Digivijaya Herbals Pvt Ltd. Along with it, he also gave me Duh Grow Hair Growth Oil. He told me to use it thrice a week and ensure it reaches the roots and scalp. โ€œMassage it for a few minutes and if you want better results, leave it overnight,โ€ said Ritesh With the hope that the oil and shampoo duo would bring lustre and shine to my hair too, I bid goodbye to my friend.

The next fortnight ushered in a new me โ€“ with softer, denser and healthier hair, thanks to this wonder shampoo comprising a fusion of berries and pea protein that intensively moisturises the hair. Whatโ€™s more! Unlike other shampoos, this one is made from natural extracts and doesnโ€™t contain alcohol. It is paraben-free which means there are no chemicals that have been used in beauty products since the 1950s to prevent bacteria and act as a preservative. It is also cruelty free which means the products doesnโ€™t in any way exploit or use animals in its making.

I have been regularly using the oil and the shampoo with the hope that all will be well with my hair soon. At Rs 499 (200 ml) for the shampoo and Rs 849 (100 ml) for the hair oil, it is quite a steal. After all, at stake is your hair!
