Special exhibition of Korean Ink Wash Paintings on at Korean Cultural Centre India

Beginning today, the Korean Cultural Centre India is holding an overseas exhibition of Korean Ink Wash Paintings, titled Korean Ink Wash Paintings, Emitting the Light at its premises in Delhi.

The exhibition is being co-hosted and organised by Jeollanam-do Province in Korea to promote these Ink Wash Paintings and the ‘Jeonnam International Sumuk Biennale 2023′ to the India and celebrate the ’18th G20 Summit’ in New Delhi and the ’50th Anniversary of Korea-India Diplomatic Relations’. The exhibition contains paintings where tradition and modernity coexist.
In addition, the works of 25 representative artists from Gwangju City and Jeollanam-do, which express the modern formative beauty by adding color, are expected to approach Indian visitors as interesting and new attractions.

Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India Chang Jae-bok said, “We are very happy to experience the artistic sensibility and beautiful creativity of these art works on the occasion of the 18th G20 Summit in New Delhi and the 50th Anniversary of Korea-India Diplomatic Relations.”
