Visit VR Bengaluru, one of the best known shopping destinations in the city. Beginning today, the mall is hosting a month-long art carnival, the Whitefield Art Collective.
On display are more than 100 art works and installations by eminent and emerging artists from across India. These include paintings, sculptures, even audio-visual installations.
Some of the prominent artists whose artworks are on display are Rajesh PS, Yati Jaiswal, Mayadhar Sahu, Shobin Bhattacharjee, Mukesh Singh, Kanwal Pal and Shubham Agarwal
Students from institutes such as MSU Baroda, Delhi College of Art, JJ School of Art Mumbai, Chandigarh College of Architecture, Government College of Arts, Chandigarh are also showcasing their talents at the show.
A number of events will be held during the month-long art carnival, including performance art, children’s art competition, art cinema, art pop up and an Instagrammers meet up with the theme Bangalore In Focus.
