The youngest son of legendary showman late Raj Kapoor and the brother of Randhir and late Rishi Kapoor, RAJIV KAPOOR aka Chimpu died of a heart attack Tuesday. The 58-year-old actor-director had made his acting debut in Ek Jaan Hain Hum (1983) and played the lead in Raj Kapoor’s last directorial venture, Ram Teri Ganga Mail Ho Gayi (1985) apart from a host of other movies.
In 1991, he had produced Rishi Kapoor-starrer Henna which was directed by Randhir Kapoor. His directorial debut, Prem Granth, failed miserably at the box office. Rajiv was all for a Bollywood comeback with a sports drama, Toolsidas Junior, co-starring Sanjay Dutt.
