Get ready to step into the world of vintage film memorabilia as deRivaz & Ives, India’s leading Auction House, brings you an exciting online auction featuring the dashing and daring Dev Anand.
Known as a cinematic icon, Dev Anand holds a special place in the hearts of Indian movie lovers, and this auction is dedicated to showcasing the finest collection of film publicity art ever sold on him.
From his timeless classics like Baazi, Kala Bazaar, C.I.D., Kala Pani, Guide, to iconic films like Tere Ghar Ke Samne, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Johnny Mera Naam, and Heera Panna, this auction has it all. But that’s not all. It also features rare and vintage photographic stills, posters, show cards, lobby cards, and song booklets from his lesser-known films, including Aaram, Milap, Maya, Manzil, Kahin Aur Chal, Baarish, Baat Ek Raat Ki, Sarhad, Kinare Kinare, and many more.
Among the highlights of this auction are a rare set of sixteen lobby cards from Kala Bazaar (1960) and Johnny Mera Naam (1970), eight first-release black and white photographic stills from Guide (1965), and fifteen colored photographic stills from Hare Rama Hare Krishna (1971). But the real gems are the beautifully designed posters of Munimji (1955), Milap (1955), Sarhad (1960), Maya (1961), Manzil (1960), Kinare Kinare (1963), Guide (1965), Gambler (1973), and Darling Darling (1977). What makes this collection even more special are the unique Indian collaged handmade show cards from Kala Pani (1958), Kinare Kinare (1963), Banarsi Babu (1973), and Amir Gharib (1974).
SMM Ausaja, the Senior Spokesperson for deRivaz & Ives Film Department, says, “The small famous black and white silver gelatin photograph from Baazi, the Guide photographic publicity stills created for the international launch, the publicity, and song booklets for Sarhad, and the full set of Kala Bazaar lobby cards are some of the standout rare items of memorabilia in this auction.”
