Nithu RS from Karnataka was crowned Miss Trans Queen India 2019 with Shelly Rai from Chhattisgarh as the first runner-up and Bonita from Jodhpur as the second runner-up. Among the 11 participants, Nithu won the judges’ hearts and also the Best Evening Gown title. The winner received beauty treatment voucher worth Rs 60,000 from Derma Circles by Prateek Sondhi and free surgery from Synergy Cosmetics Surgery Clinic, Surat Gujarat by Dr Navtar Patel.
Speaking about Miss Trans Queen India, Reena Rai, founder of Deepa Ardnareshwar Empowerment Foundation, said, “In our society, trans women suffer a lot of humiliation and struggle in life. We give them a platform so that they can climb the ladder of success and build their confidence levels. This is a stepping stone to the glamour industry as the winners also represent the country on an international platform like Ms International Trans Queen.”
