As content gets bigger and better in 2022, we have made a list of some of the most promising faces and their work one should look forward to. Each one of these newcomers are stars in their own right, having landed projects that have gotten the audience excited. The list is a heady mix of actors and actresses who have taken unusual paths to arrive where they are today. There’s no stopping them now.
Adarsh Gourav
First on the list is BAFTA nominee Adarsh Gourav who has won people’s hearts through the portrayal of Balram in The White Tiger. Adarsh will soon be seen in Scott Z Burns’ film, Extrapolations. Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, and Kit Harrington star in the series as well. On the home front, Adarsh will also be seen in Excel Entertainment’s and Tiger Baby’s joint venture, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan along with Sidhant Chaturvedi. Two completely different characters will once again give us a chance to witness his acting prowess. Fans are waiting with bated breath for Adarsh to hit the screens again.
Siddhant Chaturvedi
Next on the list is the uber cool, good looker, Siddhant Chaturvedi. His Phone Bhoot starring Katrina Kaif in the lead has already gotten his fans excited. Everyone is eagerly waiting to see his onscreen chemistry with the beautiful Kaif. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan will give us a digital age story of three friends in Mumbai and one would expect all the nuances of coolness to fill the screens as is always the case with Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby. 2022 is a busy year for the actor as he will also be seen romancing Southern siren Malavika Mohanan in a romantic action-thriller, Yudhra, backed by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment. Siddhant will also be seen romancing the diva Deepika Padukone in his upcoming film, Gehraiyaan. We wish the actor a power-packed 2022.
Wamiqa Gabbi
The sweet adorable Wamiqa Gabbi won hearts of millions with her debut show Grahan last year is all set to be seen in some of the prominent projects. She will be seen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Khufiya in a lead role opposite Ali Fazal and Tabu. Later this year she will be seen in Netflix’s originals Mai with Sakshi Tanwar and in Vikramaditya Motwane’s period drama show Stardust. The actress has a plate full of meaty projects and wishes her all the best for a successful year ahead.
Rohit Saraf
Another interesting face to watch out for is the boy next door charm, Rohit Saraf. He has landed a key role in the remake of Vikram Vedha where he will play Hrithik Roshan’s younger brother. The plum project will be a huge opportunity for Rohit to star opposite one of India’s hottest and most talented actors. On the OTT front, Rohit will be seen in the second season of Mismatched.
Sanya Malhotra
After the super success of her latest Netflix release, Meenakshi Sundareshwar, Sanya will next be seen in Rajkumar Rao starrer, Hit The First Case which will have a theatrical release in 2022. Always one to try new roles, she will also be seen in Love Hostel opposite Vikrant Massey. A crime thriller, Love Hostel, will be an opportunity to see Sanya in an all new light.
Anchal Singh
Anchal Singh after exploring the regional cinema successfully is all geared up taking Hindi cinema by storm. Last year she was seen playing the bride in Undekhi, an original web series streaming on SonyLiv where she was noticed by the audience and critics making her one of the prominent faces to look for in 2022. Her soon to release web show Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein on Netflix will see her in a very different avatar raising the bar of her talent. She will be seen in Undekhi Season 2 this year.
Alaya F
Last but not the least is the sexy Alaya F who will be seen in Kartik Aaryan’s next, Freddy. Looks like it has been an awesome start to her career. From her debut with Saif Ali Khan to her next with Kartik Aaryan, Alaya is landing all the right projects and starring opposite some of the biggest names in the industry. Not only Freddy, Alaya has also landed Ekta Kapoor’s U-Turn where she plays a journalist. The remake of 2018 superhit Kannada thriller, Alaya is excited to showcase her mettle through the portrayal of a character very different from what she has been seen doing so far.
