Says Dr Chandra said, “As per the available data, at present the prevalence of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) in India is 54.5 million. It is the leading cause of mortality in the country (25 per cent of all lives lost). The CVD death rate in India is 272 per 1,00,000 compared to the global average of 235. CVDs also strike Indians a decade earlier than the western population and causes of concern include progression, and high mortality rate.”
He adds, “Therefore, the talk show is an invaluable resource for individuals seeking trustworthy cardiac care information – because through presentations and structured Q & A sessions, complex cardiac conditions will be explained in an easy-to-understand manner. It will also help those who are hesitant to seek an opinion, gain some clarity – so that they can decide their next steps. Featuring fresh perspectives each month from diverse medical experts discussing various aspects of cardiac health and care, the talk show will delve into a wide array of topics. This approach will captivate a diverse audience across India, where there is a rising prevalence of cardiac ailments especially among the younger population.”
