Taking a cue from the generations-old techniques, methods and processes, Tamaraa by Tahani, has launched its new collection titled Alaisa – A Perennial Odyssey. A celebration of Indian festivals, the collection is inspired by the festive spirit, colours and designs of our festivals, and dives into a vibrant festive colour palette with cherry red, navy blue, green with newly-introduced lime green, off-white, pinks, peaches, blue, emerald and maroon, setting a complete festive tone.
Alaisa includes exquisite handicrafts like mirror sequin, cutdana and Resham work along with in-house produced crystal tassels and detailing. And to give these killer designs a well-deserved base, luxurious fabrics like organza, georgette and silk have been used which also gives a regal look to the outfit.
The outfits from the collection hardly need any accessorizing, the brand has introduced the ‘Jacket Kurta’ – a unique marriage of modernity and tradition. The jacket kurta is coupled with exquisite handiwork and embellishments with gorgeous dupatta and skirts or flared pants.
“I believe beauty lies in nuances. The richness of the colours, the flow of the fabrics, the nature of embroidering and embellishments – all of these details make an outfit what it is. For Alaisa we aimed to encapsulate the spirit of happiness and joy while experimenting with newer silhouettes like the Jacket kurta,” says Tahani Manaquib, founder and designer of Tamaraa By Tahani.
