With the wedding season just round the corner, The Leela Ambience, Gurugram hosted Magicka International MICE & Wedding Expo & Conference 2018. The day-long B2B event, organised by motivator and business trendsetter Raizy Bedi, kick started with lamp lighting by the esteemed guests followed by a mesmerising performance by renowned flautist Rajesh Prasanna with Lavanya Sundram singing Tu Shyam Hai… in a melodious voice. The idea behind holding this event aimed at bringing together various players from the industry under one roof.

The guest of honour for the event, Ambassador of Argentina to India Daniel Chuburu, said, “It is great to be in this beautiful and spiritual country. I invite all of you to visit Argentina.” And he followed it up with an audio-video presentation where he showcased the interesting tourism destinations in the country along with hotels. Thereafter, the Academy of Integral Music & Research (AIMR) gave a soul-stirring symphony orchestra performance thereafter.

On the occasion, a number of people were honoured for excellence in their chosen fields. Numerologist-astrologer-vastu specialist Bindiya Singh Chhabra was awarded the Best Healer – Wedding, Noor Mahal Palaces was awarded for the Best Destination – Wedding & MICE, Relationship and Happiness coach Chandni Singh was awarded the Best Healer – Wedding & Tourism, Hope Creator Priya Kaul was awarded the Best Healer – Wedding & Tourism, Neena S Arora  was awarded for being an ace Vastushastri, Sejal Chauhan for being the Best Makeup Artistry, Miku Kumar Jain was honoured for being the Best Designer of the Year). Isha Jaggi was honoured for her excellence in making wedding & corporate cakes. Punjabi singer Ashok Mastie (of the The Evergreen Wedding Song Glassy fame was felicitated for his contribution to the music world.

India Ahead news editor-anchor Riddhima Bhatnagar moderated a panel discussion on MICE destinations, the facilities they offer and the role of women. The panelists included Ambassador Chuburu, Magical Holidays’ director Reena Chopra, Travel Plus founder director Subhash Verma, advisory honorary consulate of India-Republic of Gunea-Bissau and Consul General (HY) & Advisor to Foreign Minister of Union of Comoros KL Ganju.

Another panel discussion was organised on weddings and latest trends and the increasing role of women in the wedding industry with panelists, including food stylist Sakshi Tuli, Pom Pom Events’ Ritika Sahni Girdhar, Foreign Wedding Planners’ Neha Mehrotra, Alps Beauty Group director Gunjan Gaur and tarot professional-numerologist-spiritual healer Dr Seema Midha. A lovely song presentation was done by Eesha Chopra along with Akhil Sharma.
