Home remedies for hair and skin care during Coronavirus

Since we all our sitting at home and the air outside is getting cleaner, avoid washing your hair. We are not going outside as often as we used to so the hair aren’t getting polluted. So it’s better we let the natural oil in our hair do its magic and not use artificial chemicals and shampoo and give our scalp and hair some rest. Those who have oily hair can wash it every two-three days.

Make a hair mask. Take one tablespoon conditioner, half mashed banana, one tablespoon lemon juice, a teaspoon of olive oil, 2 tablespoon curd and 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil*. Mix these together to make a mask. Keep it on for 20 minutes and then rinse it off. This will give you smooth and shiny hair instantly.

If you feel that your hair is getting unhealthy and dry, then try this hair mask. Take 2 tablespoon of coconut milk mix it with juice of half a lemon and massage your scalp with it and leave it on for 30 minutes to an hour. Rinse it off and voila your hair will feel healthy as ever.

During this time when we all are at home away from the pollution, not dealing with much office stress and are with your family members, your skin will glow naturally. To look after your skin and make it even more glowing, double cleanse your skin.

Use an exfoliator to take away dead cells. Use things in your kitchen to make an effective exfoliator. Take one tablespoon rice powder, squeeze a lemon in it or use one tablespoon curd. Apply it on your face and move your hands in circular motion. Do this only twice a week.

After exfoliating your skin, use a nice pack on your ace. You can use a readymade pack, sheet masks or again rush to your kitchen to make a natural pack. Banana mixed with honey and cream is amazing for the skin.

Take almond or vitamin E cream or any good nourishing cream. After you have double cleansed your face, massage your face with the nourishing cream for five-10 minutes. Wipe the cream off and use a light moisturiser after this. People with ageing skin should specially follow this.

You can also use papaya or avocado on your face. Mash it up, squeeze lemon or orange in it, add milk powder in it. Leave the paste for 20 minutes on your face and rinse it off. After that use any skin oil or moisturiser.

*if you don’t have lavender essential oil then you can make the mask without it as well.
