he 40th edition of children literature festival, Bookaroo is all set to be held at the National Rail Museum (NRM) once again, on November 26 & 27. As always, the festival will have sessions on storytelling, workshops, poetry, art & craft and books.

“We’re delighted to partner Bookaroo once again. NRM is a special place for children, youth, parents and grandparents alike! The creative adult they say, is one whose inner child is still alive. I hope Bookaroo will bring many brilliant and creative minds from India and the world over to our museum. We assure you of a great experience filled with fascinating books and wonderful tales of travel, and of life itself,” says Vinita Srivastava, Executive Director (Heritage), Ministry of Railways.

This is the 14th time that the festival is being held in Delhi, and as expected a lot many foreign participants are expected. Speakers from France, Portugal, Spain, UK, Dubai, US, Germany, Sweden will join speakers from 12 Indian cities to hold 64 high-decibel sessions, crafted according to the age group of the children. The sessions have been specifically created for children between 4 and 14 in two-year age bands starting with 4-6.

“Every Bookaroo is like a sowing of ideas – ideas that are then carried forward by children, parents, teachers and even speakers. This edition, we hope, will be exceptional with the fantastic line-up of speakers and minutely curated sessions,” says Swati, co-founder and festival director, Bookaroo Children’s Literature Festival, thanking all the partners and sponsors.
